Leaving the lights on
Throughout the Christmas season, lights are everywhere on homes. It is one of the most fun times to run around in the wee hours of the morning. That aside, there are still a handful of homes that keep strings of lights up year round. Generally they are color changing so they fade between colors across the spectrum. This morning one of these said houses also had a purple glow in the window. Looking with out looking I noted someone with a bunch of screens that I can only imagine are part of the person's gaming empire. The tricked out computer inside likely cost some hundreds (perhaps thousands?) of dollars to build.
This observation made me think about how running at 2:30am might not be such an out of place hobby after all. I mean, if someone can game at that hour, why not participate in a less sedentary past time?
I won't take the time to get into a fight about the appropriateness or inappropriateness of gaming in the early hours of the morning, but I will say the flavor of a neighborhood or city would be altered if the gamers took runs rather than played Halo.
(Is Halo even a thing? That shows where I fall on the spectrum of gaming)
